Jesus (also) took female disciples, and in doing so he was explicitly saying ‘these women can reach the same status that I have’, okay?...
We may be in this world, but we are not of this world; we must be holy before the Lord, because He is holy....
..of course it's a challenge in the flesh. But in the kingdom of God it's always the opposite, and Jesus is our primary example.
